Ahmed Glaucoma Valve® FP8

The Ahmed Glaucoma Valve consists of a very small plate with a unique valve system that regulates eye pressure. A tube connected to the plate drains fluid from the eye, reducing intraocular pressure. The implant is located outside the eye, covered by the eye tissue, making it invisible and impalpable. The implantation surgery immediately reduces eye pressure by providing effective fluid drainage. Because the implant is a valve, it self-adjusts according to the fluid pressure in the eye, providing precise control and ensuring no excessive drainage occurs.
