**Dr Rolando Toyos' First Official Scientific Trip to Greece**
The first official scientific trip of Dr Rolando Toyos (Specialist of Dry Eye & Developer of IPL) to Greece was completed with exceptional success.
NEW OPTICAL SOLUTIONS, in collaboration with LUMENIS — for which we are the exclusive representative in Greece — organised a workshop on Monday 30 September 2019 at 7:00 pm at the Athens Hilton Hotel (Thaleia Hall), where Dr Rolando Toyos presented the therapeutic capabilities of the M-22 OPTIMA IPL from LUMENIS to a crowd of ophthalmologists.
The following day, Tuesday 1 October 2019, Dr Rolando Toyos spoke at a workshop organised by the Director of the 251 General Air Force Hospital, Dr Ioannis Giannakis, in the hospital amphitheatre. The workshop was attended by the hospital's ophthalmologists, and Dr Ioannis Giannakis presented Dr Rolando Toyos with an honorary plaque for his contribution to the science of ophthalmology.
Dr Rolando Toyos then visited ACTION 24 TV and gave an interview to journalist Katerina Douka on the medical show Brainstorming. In the afternoon of the same day, training was provided to the ophthalmologists of the Medihall polyclinic and diagnostic laboratory by Dr Rolando Toyos on the practical knowledge of the M-22 OPTIMA IPL system, which has been installed and is operational in the ophthalmology department of the polyclinic.
On Wednesday 2 October 2019, Dr Rolando Toyos initially visited Athens Eye Center, where the first M-22 OPTIMA IPL system in Greece has been installed. He then visited the Laser Vision ophthalmology centre, where he met with Professor Dr Anastasios Kanellopoulos. On Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm, in the presence of Minister of Justice Mr Konstantinos Tsiaras, Member of Parliament Vasilis Spanakis, President of the Piraeus Medical Association Mr Nikos Platanisiotis, Lumenis European Sales Director Mr Paris Chatziannastasiadis, and many ophthalmologists and opticians, the official proclamation of the Medihall polyclinic and diagnostic laboratory as a Lumenis Center took place.
